Room areas and Lichter groups (iris / Home Assistant)
Current layout (verified 2026-11-01)
Area **wohnzimmer** devices: Wohnzimmer Bücherregal (OSRAM LIGHTIFY Indoor Flex RGBW), Wohnzimmer Esstisch (innr RB 185 C), Wohnzimmer TV (innr RB 178 T), Wohnzimmer Komode (innr RB 185 C), Wohnzimmer Schrank (IKEA TRADFRI CWS), plus TV/HomePod/sensor devices.
Area **kuche** devices (moved from wohnzimmer on 2026-11-01):
- Küche Esstisch — innr RCL 232 C ->
light.kuche_esstisch - Küche Decke — innr RCL 232 C ->
light.kuche_decke - Küche Flex — LEDVANCE FLEX RGBW Z3 ->
light.kuche_flex(waslight.wohnzimmer_kueche, device renamed to “Küche Flex”) - Fernbedienung Küche — OSRAM Lightify Switch Mini (trigger-only, no light entity)
Light-group helpers (domain group, options flow at /api/config/config_entries/options/flow, POST the flow_id to /api/config/config_entries/options/flow/<flow_id>):
Lichter Wohnzimmer(01JAD8W8G3Q25AD4Y89NCPFT5T): bucherregal, esstisch, schrank, tv, komode (kitchen light removed)Lichter Küche(01M6BW7W670HHM7WB84231SXAD): kuche_decke, kuche_esstisch, kuche_flex, hide_members true- Lichter Flur / Lichter Schlafzimmer / Lichter Arbeitszimmer / Lichter Balkon unchanged
ZHA hardware group 0x0009 now contains only the living-room lamps: esstisch, tv, bucherregal, komode. The LEDVANCE Flex (ieee f0:d1:b8:00:00:1a:fa:92) was removed from it via zha/group/members/remove. ZHA group/list is NOT a valid websocket command; zha/group/members/remove works.
Dashboards (websocket lovelace/config then lovelace/config/save, url_path dashboard-mobile / dashboard-raspi): both now have a dedicated Küche view with Decke/Esstisch/Flex, and the mobile Home view has a Lichter Küche tile next to Wohnzimmer.
Automations (automations.yaml): the two automations “alle lichter an” / “alle lichter aus” (triggered by the Philips RWL021 “Schalter Wohnzimmer”, device_id 849da79387653416fb4ed96e30faffd0) now target only the five living-room lights; light.wohnzimmer_kueche was removed from both. Backup: /data/docker/HomeAssistant/config/automations.yaml.bak-20261101 and /data/docker/HomeAssistant/config-backup-20261101-pre-room-split.tar.gz.
HomeKit accessory for the kitchen lamp (entry 01JHB4JSHNQ0DBY2K6Y5S105P6) was repointed to light.kuche_flex via the options flow (init step with mode/include_exclude_mode/domains, then accessory step with entities).
Gotchas learned
- Websocket commands need an
idfield - without it HA answers invalid_format / “Message incorrectly formatted”. The first WS frame isauth_required, so read it BEFORE sending {“type”:“auth”,“access_token”:…}. automation/reloadis not a websocket command; changes to automations.yaml needdocker restart homeassistant.HASS_TOKENlives in/data/ai-persistence/.envon iris but that path is not mounted inside the HA container - pass it withdocker exec -i -e HASS_TOKEN="$HT" homeassistant python3 -.- Entity ids stay after an area move, so a lamp physically in the kitchen but named wohnzimmer_… keeps its misleading id; rename it (
config/entity_registry/updatewith new_entity_id) and then fix every reference: group helpers, HomeKit filters, automations.yaml, dashboards. - The group options flow default for hide_members is false - always send true or member lights reappear in the UI.
Fernbedienung Küche — OSRAM Lightify Switch Mini (verified 2026-11-01)
Device id 41fa9a4b813bd2c7f54284f68d6a4d38, area kuche, trigger-only (no light entity; sensors: battery, LQI, RSSI, firmware). Six automations in automations.yaml, all state on, zero validation errors after restart:
| Button | Trigger subtype | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Top, short | remote_button_short_press / button_1 |
turn on light.kuche_flex + light.kuche_decke |
| Bottom, short | remote_button_short_press / button_3 |
turn off light.kuche_flex + light.kuche_decke |
| Top, long | remote_button_long_press / button_1 |
turn on light.lichter_kuche (all kitchen lights) |
| Bottom, long | remote_button_long_press / button_3 |
turn off light.lichter_kuche |
| Middle, short | remote_button_short_press / button_2 |
brightness_step_pct: +20 on each kitchen light only if its state is **on** |
| Middle, long | remote_button_long_press / button_2 |
brightness_step_pct: -20 on each kitchen light only if its state is **on** |
Automation ids: kuche_fernbedienung_flex_decke_an, kuche_fernbedienung_flex_decke_aus, kuche_fernbedienung_alle_lichter_an, kuche_fernbedienung_alle_lichter_aus, kuche_fernbedienung_heller, kuche_fernbedienung_dunkler.
Gotcha: for the “only lights that are currently on” dimming, use three independent if/then blocks (condition state: on per light). A choose action only executes the first matching branch, so it cannot dim several on-lights at once. Dimming automations use mode: restart.
